sometimes i forget the real reason I turned to yoga was because life is hard and people die and no one has the answers….
Addictions don’t just hurt the addict, they also hurt their family and friends:
My husband has dealt with pornography addiction for our whole marriage. He recovered for about 4 years but has now relapsed and left to keep from hurting me. Any advice on how I can not take this personal? I wanna feel bad for him because I can see how much it hurts him but I get do angry & hurt that I’ve developed a disdain for him. Any advice?

This is realllllllllly weird lmao
This is really NORMAL.
Except we never see it-so it is terrifying and uncomfortable when it happens.
(Mostly because people would laugh or be unkind)I own a sex shop. Once a woman bled on our chair during an interview. She was horrified and felt ashamed because it was in some way unprofessional. We weren’t bothered. We said ‘what better place to work on being ok with your body than at a feminist sex shop?’
Bleeding is normal and dealing with it is one of the most pervasive ways women are complicit in their silence. Some men bleed too. How would you react to that? For many men who are Trans the act of bleeding is a security threat.
Fuck off with your lolz.
Reblogging again for above commentary ^^^^^
So happy that the above commentor included trans* men.

learning-to-live--again asked: Hi :) A while ago you kindly referred me to yogajournal for videos. I've been doing a few videos & am finding it difficult. I'm really restricted by space. The only place I can spread my arms & legs is if I stand on my bed (not good for stability). The videos I've done feel really clunky and just not grounding or settling at all. My therapist said that there are many types of yoga & finding 1 that works is key. I don't know whether you can offer any advice but though it worth asking. Thanks xx
1.) I think classes have SOOO much more effective than videos. You should try. That way you have an instructor to describe and re-describe poses and adjust you. As well as tell you WHY you do each pose and what they are for.
2.) What are you looking for in your or from your practice?
